These are great and really no difference, highly recomended. Fast shipping. I recently changed over after $1+k bill for basically nothing from mecedes because it started dropping less than 1 month later. After that my wife wouldn't drive the car because she was afraid it would drop while driving. All went well. Get some star bits and sockets too. Struts are easy to change. 2 tricks not in videos, 1 is for the front, heat up the arm, just a little that the bottom is bolted to, pry on the bottom of strut and back the bracket u heated and it'l pop out. 2nd, the rear has a sleeve inside where the bottom sits that MUST be flush to fit new strut, ull know what I mean. Change the pump and get ready to pull lines, drain and cap the 1s u can't all u can't or u'll have oil dripping for years. Take off hose to front struts and reconnect to rear line and cap that. Sold old stuff for about what I paid for new stuff!
I am not a mechanic. I used a floor jack and 2 bottle jacks to assist on pushing the bottom of the rear shocks in place to reinstall bolts. Took me a lot of hours to finish all four probably could have been faster but I installed them with my 16 year old son. Quality time! The car was purchased 1 year ago with ABC problems/ leaks. Finally my son has his first car! 2005 SL 500 Thank you for making a great product.
I bought these coilovers to do a complete ABC removal on a 2003 Mercedes Benz SL500. I was very intimidated by this project because it was my first time learning what any of this was. Well long story short the coilovers are on the car saving me TONS of money with an all new simple power steering system instead of the dreaded tandem pump. I have to say these coilovers have made the car even better in my opinion, she just feels so much sturdier now and easier to maintain. I love being able to adjust them on the fly to fit my needs. This was an excellent investment and I'm so happy the way the car turned out. Thank you guys for making such an awesome product for people that would rather not spend $3,000-$4000 per strut on an ABC system. If you're nervous or unsure about undertaking this project don't be. I was able to do it by myself with no help other than videos and forums. You will feel so much more relieved when you are able to ride in your car knowing that cancer of a system is gone for good. Your product rocks and I would highly recommend it to anyone thinking about a swap. Don't think just get them and GET THE JOB DONE!
